Business WiFi Tips: How to Fix Slow and Patchy Office WiFi
A plain English guide to better office WiFi, covering where to put access points, which frequency bands to use, what WiFi 6, 6E and 7 actually change, and when a cable is the better answer.
We look after your computers, servers, Microsoft 365, network and security for one fixed monthly cost. When something goes wrong, you speak to a local engineer in Sunderland who already knows your setup.
Call, email or log a ticket in our portal. A real person picks it up, explains what is happening in plain English and keeps you updated until it is fixed.
With your permission we connect securely to the computer in question, so most problems are sorted without waiting for a visit.
Some jobs need hands on help. Our engineers travel from Sunderland to businesses across Tyne and Wear, County Durham and Teesside.
Every managed device reports in. We see failing disks, full drives and missed updates early and deal with them before they stop your day.
Windows, Microsoft 365 and common business software are kept patched on a schedule that suits you, which closes the gaps attackers rely on.
Regular reviews cover what is ageing, what is coming up and what it will cost, so IT spending is planned rather than a surprise.
Most small businesses do not need, or cannot justify, a full time IT person. But they still need someone to call when the email stops, someone to set up the new starter on Monday and someone who is thinking about security when nobody else is.
That is what managed IT support gives you. We become your IT department. We learn how your business works, document your systems and look after them every day, so your team can get on with their jobs.
Cyber Fits is a family run company started in Sunderland by two brothers. We work with businesses of around 5 to 100 staff across the North East, from solicitors and accountants to engineering firms, clinics and charities, and we treat every one of them the way we would want to be treated.

Exactly what is included depends on the plan you choose. See our IT support plans for the detail.
We look at your current setup, security, backups and devices, and listen to what is frustrating your team.
You get a plain English summary of what we found and a fixed monthly price based on your users and devices.
We document everything, install our monitoring, tidy up quick wins and take over from your previous provider.
Day to day support, proactive maintenance and regular reviews to keep your IT improving over time.
Managed IT support is an arrangement where an outside company takes responsibility for your technology for a fixed monthly fee. Rather than paying by the hour whenever something breaks, you pay a predictable amount and the provider looks after your systems all the time: answering questions, fixing faults, keeping things updated and planning ahead.
The difference from break fix support is incentive. When an IT company is paid per callout, problems are its income. When it is paid a fixed fee, problems are its cost, so it works hard to prevent them. That is better for everyone.
It suits businesses that rely on computers every day but do not have, or do not want, an in house IT team. Typical clients have between 5 and 100 staff, one or more offices and a mix of office based and hybrid workers. If you currently rely on a member of staff who is "good with computers", or on a friend who helps out, managed support takes that pressure off them and gives you proper cover.
If you already have an IT person, we can work alongside them, taking on the helpdesk, out of hours tasks or security tools so they can focus on bigger projects.
We are deliberately local. Our team is based in Sunderland and our clients are mostly within an hour of us, which means we can be on site when it matters and we understand the businesses we work with. You will get to know our engineers by name, and they will get to know your systems.
We also keep things simple. One fixed monthly cost, written plans that say what is included, and honest advice, including telling you when you do not need to spend money.
Through our sister brands we also provide business phone systems with Virtual Voice Office and business full fibre broadband with Cyber Fibre. Having one company responsible for your IT, phones and internet connection means no finger pointing between suppliers when something goes wrong.
